Identification of objects
You can bring your objects to the museum for identification and depending on the individual object, we can help you find out:
- what the object is
- what material it is made from
- a rough estimate as to the age
- what it may have been used for
- how it got to the location where you found it, or how it was formed or made.
We cannot give an object's value as we do not deal in market values.
Bequests
West Suffolk Council seeks to preserve and conserve the history of West Suffolk. If you have an object that you feel is of interest to us and would like to lend or donate it to the museum, please get in touch. If it’s not suitable for us, we may be able to arrange to pass it on to a different museum.
