Wednesday 9 April 2025

Ancient creatures from land, sea, and sky have taken over the galleries of Moyse's Hall Museum in an exciting new exhibition running from Saturday 3 May to Sunday 5 October.

"Prehistoric Beasts: Land, Sea, Sky" offers visitors a thrilling prehistoric encounter—stare into the jaws of a Tyrannosaurus, swim alongside a Plesiosaur, and meet favorites including Velociraptor, Triceratops, and Iguanodon. If you're lucky, you might even catch our resident T-Rex at feeding time!

This special exhibition represents a collaboration between West Suffolk Heritage Service, the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, and renowned Paleoartist Alex Pritchard of 'Dinosaur Skeletons', featuring both authentic and cast specimens of dinosaurs, sea reptiles, and other prehistoric life.

Throughout the exhibition period, visitors can enjoy special trails, workshops, and evening events.

Check our website regularly for dinosaur updates and announcements.

Exhibition tickets include full access to the museum's permanent collection, featuring:

  • West Suffolk's notorious Crime and Punishment displays, including a book bound in human skin and witchcraft artifacts
  • The Abbey's history and medieval treasures
  • Rotating fine art exhibitions showcasing works by Mary Beale and Sybil Andrews
  • The world-famous Gershom Parkington Clock Collection and Suffolk Regiment displays

While tickets are available at reception, advance booking is recommended.
