The 80th anniversary of D-Day will be commemorated as part of this year's Sci-Fi and Action Exhibition at Moyse's Hall Museum.

Costumes and props from Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, Monuments Men and more will feature as part of a section dedicated to the anniversary of D-Day including a baseball cap lent to the museum by the widow of Flight Sergeant (Sgt) Chris Thorn to go alongside the screen used props and costume from 'Band of Brothers' and 'Saving Private Ryan'.

After teaching the cast how to parachute jump, Flight Sgt Thorn was gifted this cap by actor David Schwimmer. The cap has the Band of Brothers logo to the rear and to the front, the insignia of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Thorn was an instructor at RAF Wattisham, Suffolk.

Screen used props from 'Band of Brothers' and 'Saving Private Ryan' can be seen within this year's Sci-fi and Action displays in the Great Hall of the museum.

The exhibition runs from Saturday 26 October to Sunday 2 February 2025. Admission costs adults £5, Child or Student (aged 6 – 16) £3, concessions £4.50, under five get in free but must be accompanied by an adult.
