Moyse's Hall Museum are proud to present Spring at Moyse’s Hall: 3 Displays, 1 Museum.
The Terrible Tales of Moyse’s Hall are a series of short stories written by Horrible Histories author Terry Deary inspired by our infamous Crime and Punishment collections, the book bound in human skin, the scalp of a murderer, witchcraft, and more.
David Hughes is an internationally acclaimed illustrator who has worked for Time Magazine, The New Yorker, The Observer, Granada TV, The Daily Express, The Guardian, The BBC, Punch, The Folio Society and many more. We are proud to present a display that spans his career, focusing on his satire, illustrations, and popular culture.
Styled celebrates 10 of the Council’s 17th century female portraits as pieces of historic fine art, but further exploring the sitters and the messages left to us in the depiction of their likenesses.
The exhibition will run from Saturday 17 February to Sunday 12 May 2024.
