Moyse’s Hall Museum is going full Gotham with a Batman-themed programme celebrating the Dark Knight.
Highlights include an evening event with Carl Newman, the movement double for Michael Keaton in Tim Burton’s Batman (1989). Newman, who helped define Batman’s iconic on-screen movements, will discuss his career in film and dance in the museum’s gothic Undercroft, followed by a Q&A and signing session.
The event is inspired by the display of Michael Keaton’s screen-used Batman cowl, on show at Moyse’s Hall until 22 February 2026, alongside props and costumes from franchises including Star Wars, Star Trek, James Bond and The Crown, and Val Kilmer’s Batman – all courtesy of Kudos Memorabilia’s ‘The Art of Cinema’ showcase as part of the Sci-Fi & Action Exhibition.
A family-friendly daytime celebration will also run, featuring another chance to meet Carl Newman. At ‘Welcome to the Batcave’, you will see additional Batman props and artwork spanning different eras, take part in craft activities, and join a themed treasure hunt.
